Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

A New Start Is Possible

At Integral Health & Wellness, we understand that addiction is not a failure or a lack of willpower — it’s a complex medical condition that affects the brain, body, and spirit. Healing from it requires care, compassion, and science-backed treatment. Our goal is to help you or your loved one find lasting recovery with a supportive, judgment-free approach that meets you where you are.

We offer Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) - one of the most effective, evidence-based tools available for treating opioid and alcohol use disorders. MAT combines FDA-approved medications with therapy and ongoing support to reduce cravings, prevent relapse, and help you rebuild your life.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

What Is MAT and How Does It Work?

Medication-Assisted Treatment uses specific, FDA-approved medications to stabilize brain chemistry, reduce or eliminate cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, and block the euphoric effects of opioids or alcohol.

By helping the body and brain regain balance, MAT allows you to focus on the deeper aspects of recovery — like building coping skills, healing relationships, and creating a healthy future.

When used as part of a comprehensive recovery plan, MAT has been shown to:

  • Reduce cravings and the risk of relapse
  • Improve daily functioning and quality of life
  • Support long-term recovery and stability

Our FDA-Approved Treatment Option

We tailor your treatment plan based on your individual needs, history, and recovery goals. Our options include:

Suboxone

(Buprenorphine/Naloxone)

A once-daily medication taken under the tongue that helps reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms from opioids. Suboxone allows you to regain stability and function in daily life without the cycle of highs and lows.

Naltrexone (Oral)

A once-daily medication that blocks the effects of opioids and reduces cravings. It is often used after detox to help you remain opioid-free and can also support recovery from alcohol use disorder.

Sublocade (Extended-Release Buprenorphine)

A once-monthly injection that provides continuous levels of buprenorphine without the need for daily dosing. Sublocade is a convenient, consistent option that reduces the risk of missed doses and helps support long-term recovery

Vivitrol (Extended-Release Naltrexone)

A once-monthly injection that works similarly to oral naltrexone but offers consistent medication levels and increased convenience. Vivitrol helps reduce cravings and blocks the rewarding effects of both opioids and alcohol.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

OptionsWhole-Person Recovery Through Collaborative Care

While medication is a powerful tool, recovery involves more than just treating physical symptoms. Emotional healing, behavior change, and strong support systems are essential to lasting success.

At Integral Health & Wellness, we focus on the medical side of recovery — providing safe, effective medication management to support your healing journey. Because counseling and therapy are key components of long-term recovery, we work closely with trusted therapists and counseling services. If you are not already connected with a therapist, we can refer you to licensed professionals who specialize in addiction, trauma, and relapse prevention.

This collaborative approach ensures you receive the comprehensive support you deserve on your path to wellness.
